Dark Slime to primetime

In his latest, always entertaining blog post, Rick Pitino announced that Michael Baffour, a 6'2'' (female?) guard out of Bryan Station in Lexington, will be walking-on for the Cardinals next year.

Michael is the younger brother of Tony Baffour, the former UofL track and field standout. Like his brother, Baffour is a multi-sport athlete, and Pitino said he is still not sure how he will use him, though one would presume with Bullet's departure, he'll get a lot of work at point guard.

Baffour is originally from Ghana, and apparently Russ has already given him the nickname "Dark Slime". Yea, I see it.

Welcome aboard, D-Sli.

Kuric off the market

Last Friday Kyle Kuric tweeted that he was on his way to take pilot lessons, and that thought, of Kuric in a flight suit with Top Gun shades terrified me, as it should any other warm-blooded male hoping to get noticed by the opposite sex for the rest of time. I mean, c'mon King, you gotta keep the playing field a little bit level.

But any fears were dashed the next day when Kuric popped the question to his longtime girlfriend during her graduation from UofL's dental school. When looking back on Kyle Kuric's legacy, the celebrity couple status that stems from the fact that both are easy on the eyes surely must be included. I mean, who's the last UofL player whose girlfriend/fiance was known and recognized by the majority of Cardinal fans? Bottles the mind.

Congrats to the happy couple.
