While preparing for the Bearcats in the Sugar Bowl, and doing numerous media appearances, he's hit the ground running on the recruiting trail; shoring up comittments he wants to honor, and making late pushes for local athletes. So far so good. Today Louisville received a firm committment from defensive tackle Randy Salmon. Salmon had verbally committed under Steve Kragthorpe, but had wavered a tad in the period before Strong's hiring, and visited Tulsa over the weekend on a recruiting trip. After Charlie Strong reached out via a phone call today, all doubts are now removed. Welcome aboard, Mr. Salmon.
