If you can't fight fire with fire...

Tidbit from Hattiesburg American sports editor Alan Hinton:

"The USM-Louisville series has been a competitive one over the years. I will never forget Nov. 21, 1981, on one of the coldest days in the history of the world, when Louisville knocked off 8-1 Southern Miss at Louisville. The story goes that Louisville watered down the field the night before, and it was so icy that Reggie Collier and the rest of those Mississippi guys couldn’t get enough traction to use their speed. Final score: Louisville 13, Southern Miss 10."

Hmmm... ice you say? Can the angry Louisville weather Gods be roused again by this Saturday?
